For over twenty years, Richard Maddock has been a professional accompanist for ballet schools all around the world. Piano accompanists are a great part of a ballet school and ballet classes. They bring musicality, the backbone for movement in dance. Dancers hear a beat and inevitably their bodies can't stop moving. As sources of inspiration and movement, accompanists bring the core of a dance studio where creativity and exploration are expanded into realms that have not been reached before.
Richard Maddock has recently created three CDs for the ballet classroom and for choreographic work. This music is filled with beautiful melodies and many different instrumentations. Maddock's music CDs are available and are being used by hundreds of dance studios around hte world, with over 150 in just Canada and the U.S. With that being said, he is no stranger to dance teachers and educators who create their syllabus around his work.
Ballet Studio Inspiration is a complete ballet class, from barre work to exercises in the centre.With twelve exercises at the barre and twenty-two in the centre, Richard Maddock's Ballet Studio Inspiration will give your class a complete workout from pliés to their petit allegros. With voice instructions on the CD, this is a great way to give yourself and your students the essentials of a ballet warm-up for your mind and your body. The recording is of highest sound quality and all the music is original by Richard Maddock.
Maddock's two instrumental CDs, As Creation Unforlds: Part One and Part Two, are wonderful for choreographic work and creative movement. These CDs are filled with a variety of uniques styles and various arrangements that have been well received by both terachers and students since their release. These CDs are fully orchestrated, with many different instruments. Each CD has eleven songs that range from four to fourteen minutes. Each one runs over an hour long.
